The Guitars - YAMAHA

In late 1975 John Denver appeared on his holiday television special 'John Denver's Rocky Mountain Christmas', with a spectacular six-string acoustic guitar unlike any other seen in the United States at the time.

It was a Yamaha prototype that would never be available on the market, outside of Japan.

It was the instrument that followed the Guild F-50 six-string, and the one that he would use in all of his television appearances, concert tours and recordings, for the next several years.

Although the next two decades saw John Denver experiment with many different makes of guitars, he acquired several more Yamahas during this period, both six and twelves, and used them considerably up until the early 1990s.
